Twilight Race Six

Twilight Six saw great conditions with a nice southerly blowing up the river. Rather than slog into it everyone paddled as a group out to the John Garrow Light for the downwind dash to the CSIRO buoy before heading back to the DSS for the finish.
Div Two set off first with many paddling in the biggest conditions they had ever faced. Scotty Knighton managed to prevail in a big tussle with John Bamford while
Andy Maver rounded out the podium in third. From the boat it was great to see paddlers going for runs and taking on the conditions.
In Div One Ben Maynard bolted away from the pack chased hard by Stew Bennett and a chase pack that contained everyone else. Ben stayed ahead and took the win from Stew with Ace finishing in third.
Thanks as always to Rexy for timing and to Angus and the Bbq helpers.
Ian and I would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas, hope you get out on the water and have some fun.
Safe Paddling!
